Meditation Class

Cris Souza

Before becoming a yoga instructor, I was trying to juggle all my identities: a mother, a wife, a successful lawyer, a friend, and maintaining a social life. I was giving my best to have that “perfect” life that society and media impose on us.

As a lawyer, my goal was to help people, to make justice, and to give voice to the underrepresented and those struggling in life, and I was doing very well with my work. Until I completely lost control of the balance of my life.

My stress levels were so high I slept only 3 hours a day and lived on bananas and coffee! Then I had a crisis. I fainted and was taken to the hospital, and the doctor said, “Either you slow down and take care of yourself, or you won’t survive”.

My body showed me the signs, and I realized that there was another path to help people; not that I didn’t love my job, but as I grew deeper in Yoga, I discovered a passion in me to teach and help people in another way, something that made much more sense to me. That’s when the seed of Yoga sprouted within me.

As I help people through their practice, I also allow myself because I love to move my body and to know myself and to be able to help people understand themselves using practice, theory, and philosophy of Yoga. Through this realization, we can have a better life that satisfies ourselves, which is a harmonic and balanced life.

Why work with me?

Perfect for busy women! My method is a personalized system combining physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques. It utilizes different styles: Yin, Yang, and Yoga philosophy. Each offers its advantages to create a balanced yoga practice that is suited to you.

“The yoga pose is not the goal. Becoming flexible is not the goal. Standing on your hands is not the goal. The goal is serenity. Balance. Truly finding peace in your own skin.” —Rachel Brathen, Yoga Girl

Practice Wherever You Want Whenever You Need

It’s not about being good at something, it’s about being good to yourself

yIn Yoga

Is a restorative and meditative practice that helps you shed the unnecessary weight you carry in your daily life. Known as needleless acupuncture, it targets deep points like ligaments, bones, and joints, channeling energy to the specific area worked on in each posture. Yin yoga complements popular practices like Hatha, Viyasa, and Ashtanga. Trying it even once will make you realize you've only been doing "half" of the asana practice.

Philosophy/Yoga Theory

The mind, body, and spirit are all one and cannot be clearly separated.

yang yoga

Is a robust practice designed to train you in focused action, harnessing your energy towards specific goals, both in class and in daily life. It's particularly beneficial for those feeling unmotivated or lethargic, yet seeking to break free from inertia and embrace an active lifestyle filled with joy. Our practice emphasizes mental aspects such as breathing, focus, balance, strength, and flexibility.

I started doing yoga in June 2022, and I’m grateful to this day for the teachings, whether it’s the connection with the body and the earth or even the air we breathe, it made me calm and focus on what I needed in myself to control my self in every balancing movement! I highly recommend the classes at yogämor ✨☀️ namaste 🙏🏻🕉️

Meeting “YOGAMOR” made my life more interesting!! I have been taking online classes from September 2021. Before, I was not good at “yoga”, because I thought yoga was a exercise for only flexible people. I learned that it was a completely wrong perception and I changed my mindset one-eighty when I took a 1st lesson. Doing Yoga is not only exercise but also way to control myself. Taking deep breathing and face my body and mind. Time to concentrate and get back to myself. Studying Yoga philosophy gives me a lot of hints and inspiration for my life. Make a life brighter and fruitful with Yoga! I highly recommend YOGAMOR.
